MY STORY
Konnichiwa!
My name is Mayumi and I’m a passionate Japanese tutor originally from a small beach town in Japan called Mihama!
I first went to LA on a trip with my mom as a teenager. I still remember standing at a café counter, completely unable to order a coffee. I just froze.
That little moment stayed with me, and it's why I started learning English.
Later, in university, I went to Australia to study the language, surrounded by English every day. Slowly, word by word, I started to speak. Never perfectly, but I could finally connect with people.
That's exactly how I teach.
